Remedial Ropes: Beginning bondage

This is the perfect class for you if your bondage skills begin and end with tying your shoes!

DOWF16 00009Stefanos & Shay will cover the basics of bondage safety, building a rope kit, teach two basic knots and two basic ties, and demonstrate applying these to create a rope bondage scene.

The basic ties you’ll learn in this class can be used to create a hog tie, spread eagle, frog tie, box tie position (hands behind back), and more! Great bondage doesn’t require knowing a lot of fancy knots, just that you know how to apply a few very basic and multi-purpose knots and ties – by the time you leave this class, you’ll have a solid foundation of knowledge that will serve you well in the bedroom or the dungeon.

– This is an interactive class. Everyone is encouraged to get tied up and to learn the ties.

– The instructors will have some rope available to borrow, but please bring two 15’ pieces if possible.

– Coming with a partner is not required. You can practice on yourself or pair up in class!

(This class is demo, lecture, some discussion, and hands-on.)

Feedback on Remedial Ropes: Beginning Bondage

"I just wanted to say that the class last night was AMAZING. As someone trying to figure how to get my way in to topping I feel like you just filled my mental and physical tool bag. I understood larks heads and half hitches but didn't know what they were called and didn't know how to ustilize them so effectively. Seriously this morning I did a tie and and then talked about why it was lose, how loose do I want it and how the half hitch through all the larks head really distrubutes the weight. As an avid student I have never left a class feeling like I had gained and retained so much and that it was so complete. Aside from practice and learning how to adjust the tie to different scenarios I really feel like I never have to go to another ropes class. So, just wanted to say thanks." -@VeronicaBravo

“Remedial Ropes was my favorite class by far.  I learned a lot, not least being that there's room for expressing sillyfunplayfulness.  The pomp and circumstance version -- protocol, earnestness, blah blah blah -- only partially jibe with my sensibilities.  It was a delight to witness and hear of the ways you interact with each other, taking safety seriously while the play itself has plenty of room for being mischievous and lighthearted.  Yay!   Boy did that make the difference for me.  Also: harnesses are yummy. ;-)” –Cate

“Thanks also for the fantastic intro ropes class; it felt like it finally made things 'click' for me.”- Tom

“Several  years later, I still learn what I used in your class every time I open my toybag.”- M. T.

“My girlfriend and I attended the beginning rope course on Friday and I wanted to let you guys know that it was the most informative, interactive, and fun course we attended all weekend. You guys were so energetic and we loved it! I love learning, so that was my goal over the weekend. I go to classes at kink events in DC and Baltimore and hands-down, you guys were the best I've seen!” -MrsMagnusMagnus
